Terms of Service

1. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential and for all activity that happens under it. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. You must provide accurate information when signing up.

2. What the Service does

MCR System lets you create and send estimates and invoices, manage clients and catalog items, schedule jobs, receive payments online (via Stripe), and track the status of documents sent to clients through a public portal with a unique link per document.

3. Data you enter

You are responsible for the data you enter into the Service, including information about your own clients. You represent that you have the legal basis and authorization to store and process that data through the Service, and you are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your own business (including communications with your clients).

4. Electronic signatures

When a client approves an estimate through the public portal, they do so by typing their name and drawing a signature on screen. You and your client both agree that this electronic signature has the same legal effect as a signature on paper. The Service records the signer's name, the time of signing, and a cryptographic fingerprint of the exact document signed, so that any later change to the document is detectable.

5. Payments and billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe. Payments received from your clients through the public portal (when you connect a Stripe Connect account) are processed directly by Stripe; MCR System does not store card data. Stripe processing fees apply separately and are the responsibility of each organization, under Stripe's own terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Send illegal, fraudulent, or misleading content to third parties;
• Attempt to access another organization's data without authorization;
• Interfere with the normal operation of the Service or its infrastructure;
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without authorization.

7. Availability

We make a reasonable effort to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates, and third-party issues (such as infrastructure, email, or payment providers) may cause temporary unavailability.

8. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, or loss of profits or data, arising from use of the Service. MCR System is the software that helps you create, send, and get approval for estimates and invoices — we are not a party to the underlying work or agreement between you and your own client, and we are not responsible for the quality, completion, or outcome of that work.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold MCR System harmless from any claim, dispute, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your use of the Service, the content you send through it, your relationship or dealings with your own clients, or your violation of these terms or of any law.

10. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time in billing settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated by email or a notice within the Service.
